Temptation Bundling

March 18, 2015

Freakonomics Radio has a great episode on temptation bundling. Temptation bundling is the idea that if you have a chore that you hate to do, you should “bundle” it with something that you like. The classic example is watching your favorite TV show only when running on the treadmill. The advantage of temptation bundling over some other similar techniques is that it makes both activites better. You don’t feel guilty that you’re wasting time watching TV and you actual enjoy running on the treadmill!
